Queer portuguese cinema highlighted at GAZE

Founded in 1992, the GAZE queer film festival is one of the largest and longest running community events in Ireland. In 2023 it celebrates its 31st edition, and it does so by returning to its initial summer dates: the best queer cinema will once again take over the city of Dublin between the 3rd and 7th of August.

This year, Queer Lisboa and Queer Porto establish a partnership with the Irish festival and inaugurate a collaboration that will bring the best queer Portuguese cinema to the Irish republic. Among the films shown at last year's editions of the Festivals, the programming team of Queer Lisboa and Queer Porto selected five short films that will be shown at GAZE on Saturday August 5th, at 1pm.

Daniel Pinheiro, Queer Lisboa & Queer Porto programmer, will be present at the screening for introducing the films.
