L'Alternativa, Barcelona's Independent Film Festival, celebrates its 32nd edition from November 13 to 23, 2025. The festival, known for championing daring cinema that values creative freedom, diversity, innovation, commitment, and thought-provoking reflection, returns with a hybrid edition: activities in its upcoming physical version and a selection of films online on Filmin in January 2026.

The director and programmer of Queer Lisboa and Queer Porto, Cristian Rodríguez, will be present at the Catalan event, participating in several initiatives of l'Alternativa PRO, the festival's industry section for film professionals.

In addition to being part of the jury for the “Cinema Pendent” awards (a set of activities to support and promote the development of selected audiovisual and film projects), Cristian Rodríguez will participate in the “Meet the festivals & Labs!” encounter and will be part of the advisory committees for the activities “XII Pitching Forum de Largometrajes del GAC” and “Proyecciones WIP.”
