Director and screenwriter Ian de la Rosa is from Almería in the south of Spain. His short film “Victor XX” won the Cinéfondation Award at Cannes. His second short, “Farrucas”, was nominated for a Goya and won a Gaudí Award, making him the first Spanish trans filmmaker to receive such recognition. He was a screenwriter on the series “Veneno” for HBO. “Iván & Hadoum” is his debut feature film.
