After living a heteronormative life for fifty years, Mónika finally goes through with her orchiectomy. The filmmaker follows Mónika’s first steps in her gender-affirmation journey: her new relationship with her body and with her biological 11-year old son, Gabi, as she also navigates the repressive Orbán regime in Hungary.

Jeremy Luke Bolatag is a Filipino filmmaker based in Belgium. In his work, he seeks to explore themes on identity, diaspora, and social issues. Jeremy earned his bachelor's degree in Film at the University of the Philippines. With a full scholarship, Jeremy completed his master's in Documentary Film Directing (DocNomads) in 2023 at LUCA School of Arts, in Brussels.
