Lucca, a young trans man from the outskirts of São Paulo, travels to the border between Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina in search of the father he never knew. Upon arriving, he meets Diego, a Paraguayan border resident who introduces him to the region in a way Lucca never imagined. Together, they discover similarities and differences in their ways of life that go beyond the binaries of gender, identity, and territory.

Nay Mendl is a Brazilian trans filmmaker from the favela of São Paulo, whose hybrid work explores body, time, and memory. Graduated from UNILA - University of Latin American Integration (Brazil) with specializations in UNAL (Colombia) and EICTV (Cuba), his short films have been screened more than 300 times in festivals around the world, including IDFA, Oberhausen, Frameline, and Olhar de Cinema. Nay navigates the resistance and creativity of trans, favela, and Latin American cinema.  

 

Rosa Caldeira, a trans filmmaker from a favela in São Paulo, studied at EICTV (Cuba) and co-founded Maloka Filmes and the Trans Audiovisual Association. Her films have been screened at film festivals such as the Berlinale, Havana, and Tiradentes.
