When an unplanned baby nicknamed Guava enters the lives of conservative mother Cuc, troubled daughter Mai, and detached gay son Nông, the trio travels back in time through their family diaries and photos. With his first film, Nông creates a time capsule for Guava, in which mending ruptured bonds and preparing for a new cycle of motherhood will hopefully help acceptance prevail.

Nông Nhật Quang is a filmmaker based in Hanoi. His films have screened at international festivals, including Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival and Visions du Réel. A fellow of the American Film Showcase and the Sundance Institute, Quang has received support from prestigious film institutes, including IDFA and Cannes Docs, among others. Currently, he serves as a program officer at doc cicada, an initiative dedicated to developing Vietnamese documentary cinema.
