This talk between researchers Hilda de Paulo and Geanine Escobar is triggered by the notion of belonging – thoroughly worked by author Dionne Brand and others – in order to question exclusion and subaltern means of being in society, considered as natural and normal in daily life, this way unveiling the crisis, tensions and hardships that cross the research of these authors. Bringing to surface the theoretical arsenal of feminisms as a gesture towards an aesthetical-political literacy of the audience, Hilda and Geanine amorously walk hand-in-hand on the path of each of their thoughts, to also think from the idea of the reality of the spaces negotiated between built and imagined worlds, so as to reflect upon the fact that behind our geographical conditions is our existencial condition.
